The spaceRockside is a luxury 1 bedroom detached private property in the beautiful village of Windermere. On the first floor, we offer our guests a king size bedroom with tv and dressing table. as well as cupboard storage for clothing. The bedroom backs on to the garden area and has custom black out blinds throughout. In the bedroom area we provide towels, dressing gowns and sliders for our guests to use during their stay. Opposite the bedroom is a separate bathroom with double shower and twin sinks.
on the ground floor is a fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, microwave and fridge freezer. A dishwasher is available to be used and tablets are provided under the sink. The living room provides a seating area with TV, and leads on into the bespoke games room and private hot tub. The arcade machine offers hundreds of retro arcade games and is free of charge to use. There is also an air hockey table and large television. The hot tub can be used at any time day or night and is serviced by a professional company who perform full water changes and chemical tests prior to each guests arrival. *Glass must not be taken into the hot tub. Plastic glasses are provided in the kitchen.
The garden is private and secure and has a seating area and lighting (lighting is on a timed schedule). At the top of the garden is an enclosed star gazing pod with seating and soft rugs where guests can relax and look up through the glass roof at the night sky.
Guest accessGuests have private access to the property, garden and hot tub / games room.
If guests require assistance during their stay they can contact us and we will assist as soon as we can. We live locally and offer our guests assistance and recommendations.
Additional notesPets are allowed but must be arranged through us directly. Pets are NOT to go on any furniture or beds and any damage caused by your pet during your stay will be chargeable. As pet owners please be respectful of our property and pick up after your dog both in our garden and when out walking in the surrounding areas of the property.

Neighborhood overviewRockside is located in a residential area and we do have neighbours in close proximity. Please be respectful of our neighbours and do not play loud music or make excessive noise especially when in the garden area.
The neighbourhood is generally quiet but guests may hear noise from neighbours vehicles or pets during their stay.
Getting aroundRockside is only a 5 minute walk from central Windermere and a 7 minute walk to the main bus and train station. Windermere has a variety of shops, restaurants and bars and convenience stores. A large supermarket "Booths" is located at the top of the village, where fast electric car chargers are available.
Access to Lake Windermere is only a 10min walk away down Birthwaite Road, where Millerground is located. Here there are picnic areas, shoreline walks and public jetties.
If you want a busier atmosphere, Bowness-on-Windermere is a 20 minute walk or 3 minute drive down the main street running from Windermere. Here there are more shops, pubs and restaurants as well as lake access including boat hire, Lake Windermere cruises and watersports.
There are numerous taxi firms who run locally but guests can walk or drive easily in the area.
Just around the corner from the property is Queens Park which is a public space and is dog friendly - please pick up after your dog in this area as it used by a large amount of local children. Dogs are not permitted on the football pitch or cricket pitch (they are clearly marked)
